Rohit Sharma is an Indian international cricketer and the captain of India's ODI and Test teams. Additionally, he holds the record for the most runs from boundaries (186) and the most fours (33) in an ODI innings. He is the only batsman in the world to have scored three double centuries in ODIs. As a captain, Rohit is the most successful in IPL history, having led the Mumbai Indians to five titles. It was the Mumbai Indians franchise that famously nicknamed him the "Hitman."
Rohit was honoured with the Arjuna Award in 2015. In 2020, he received the prestigious Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award. He was also named the ICC ODI Player of the Year in 2019.
Rohit married Ritika Sajdeh in December 2015. The couple welcomed their daughter in December 2018 and a son in November 2024.
