Salman Khan

Salman Khan is a famous Indian actor who was born on 27th December 1965, in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. He is also a film producer, singer, painter, and television personality. He won numerous awards for his acting and for the films he produced. Khan is considered one of the most commercially successful actors of Bollywood.

Salman Khan is the eldest son of the legendary script and screenwriter Salim Khan and his first wife Sushila Charak. Born to a Hindu mother and a Muslim father, Khan has four siblings, Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan, Arpita Sharma, and Alvira Agnihotri. He finished his schooling at St. Stanislaus High School in Bandra, Mumbai. He attended St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai but dropped out later.

Salman Khan began his acting career with a supporting role in Biwi Ho To Aisi (1988), followed by a leading role in Maine Pyar Kiya (1989), which went on to become one of the highest-grossing Bollywood films. Salman Khan launched two production companies Salman Khan Being Human Productions or SKBH and Salman Khan Films or SKF.

Besides being a heart-throb of millions around the world and often called the ‘money-minting machine of Bollywood’, Khan is involved in many charity as well philanthropic work. Such is his aura and charisma that despite all criticism, his films are blockbusters and always ensure big business.

Salman Khan owns an NGO called Being Human which sells T-shirts and other products online and in stores as well. Controversy and adoration go hand in hand with this Khan as despite delivering major hits in Bollywood, the super-star is involved in many controversies such as Blackbuck hunting, hit-and-run case and Arms Act violations case.

Salman Khan gets fresh threat, Rs 5 crore demanded

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has received a fresh threat along with a demand of Rs 5 crore from a person claiming to brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, officials said on Tuesday. The threat message, which also asked Khan to apologise apparently over an alleged blackbuck poaching incident, was received at the Mumbai traffic police control room located in Worli area late Monday night, an official said. The message sender claimed he is brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, the police official said. “If Salman Khan wants to stay alive, he should go to our (Bishnoi community) temple and apologise or pay Rs 5 crore. If he does not do so, we will kill him; our gang is still active,” the message said.
